From the moment we arrived, David, the instructor, made us feel right at home. He runs the sessions himself and stays with you on the boat throughout the whole experience. You can tell straight away that he's got years and years under his belt, not just from his technical level, but from how approachable, patient and fun he is when teaching. The setting is spectacular too: wakeboarding on the Entrepeñas reservoir takes the whole thing far beyond just sport. The views, the water, how peaceful the place is… it all adds up. For me, it was one of my first times wakeboarding and, although it's a demanding sport, David makes sure you enjoy it even while you're still learning. As for the vibe, you share the boat with other people who are also having a go. How much of a group feeling there is depends a lot on who you happen to be there with that day, but David breaks the ice easily and that helps a lot. I wouldn't say it's the easiest sport to pick up from absolute zero, especially if you've never done any board sports like surfing or snowboarding, but even as a beginner, the clarity of his teaching makes the experience enjoyable. The price is on the high side, so it's probably not something you'd do every week, but as a one-off experience it's absolutely worth it. Wakeboard 10 isn't just a wakeboarding school, it's an experience for anyone wanting to break out of the routine, learn from seriously skilled instructors and enjoy a stunning natural setting. If water sports appeal to you and you're looking for a different kind of adventure, this is one of those places you'll probably remember long after the session ends.
