Methodology
The Nomad Score
Nomad isn’t looking for the best gym. It’s trying to help each person find the place that fits them best. That’s why we don’t ask “is it good?” — we ask “who is it good for?”.
100 points, 5 pillars
Every center gets a score out of 10 in each pillar after a real visit. Those scores are weighted to get the final Nomad Score, out of 100. The calculation is always automatic, never manual — that’s how we keep it consistent and auditable.
Experience
25%The most important category. How does the center make you feel? Did you enjoy it? Did it make you want to come back? Was it a memorable experience?
Community
20%We don’t just rate the gym, we rate the people. Do they greet you? Is there camaraderie? Are newcomers welcomed? Is the vibe good?
Staff
20%Coaches, front desk, attention, follow-up, teaching ability and communication.
Facilities
20%We’re not after luxury, we’re after consistency: cleanliness, equipment, space, maintenance, changing rooms, accessibility.
Value
15%Price, what you get for it, flexibility, schedule, location and services.
Nomad Match
Beyond the score, every center also has a compatibility profile that answers a different question: “is this place for me?”. Two centers can have a similar Nomad Score and still be ideal for completely different profiles — beginners, families, competition, strength, wellness, social, 50+, high performance.

Transparency, not verdict
The Nomad Score is never presented as the absolute truth, but as Nomad’s assessment based on a real visit and a public methodology. Any center can know the criteria and how it’s scored.
